Here's a fun game for everyone. I need to come up with a 4 character message that will be obvious to the engineer reading it that it means "garbage" or somesuch. It should look odd enough to make them question it and dig up the spec which will explain the message (which will be something along the lines of, "You fucked up again, software").

Now here's the fun part: it has to be in hexadecimal. For the uninformed, that's normal counting from 0 to 9, but with 6 addtional values, A through F. So you count 0, 1, ... 9, A, ... F, before flipping the next number to 1 and the F to 0 (so there's 16 possibilities per character, hence "hexadecimal"). So you can use only the letters A, B, C, D, E, and F.

However, several numbers look like letters. 0 = O, 1 = I, 5 = S, and 6 = G. Furthermore, you can use 2 as the words "to" and "too", 4 as "for", 8 as "ate" etc. Use your imagination.

My favorite so far is BEEF. It's just so straight to the point. GOOF is also funny. ASSS and FIDO are not as cool, but made me smile. We'll probably end up going with GIGO because we have to maintain professionalism and all that jazz (garbage in, garbage out), but I thought maybe you'd enjoy the challenge.
